“Sinuscript” — Kinetic Typography & Motion Study

Sinuscript is a motion design piece inspired by the natural rhythms of the ocean and the emotional patterns that mirror its tides. The animation centers around the phrase, “everything comes in waves, even chaos follows a curve,” exploring how both nature and emotion move in cycles of rise and release. The goal was to translate that organic motion into typography—turning words into waves that ebb and flow with a quiet sense of continuity.

Built around the form of a sine wave, the project treats motion as both a visual and conceptual anchor. Each letter’s movement was designed to feel fluid and intentional, echoing the ocean’s rhythm and unpredictability. The kinetic type shifts in weight, position, and timing, guiding the viewer through a subtle meditative experience—one that balances control with spontaneity, order with chaos.

At its core, Sinuscript is an exploration of how typography can evoke emotion beyond words themselves. It transforms type from something static into something alive—responsive to time, rhythm, and feeling. By merging natural motion with digital design, the piece captures a small reflection of the ocean’s paradox: calm yet powerful, unpredictable yet patterned.
